The State Water Resources Agency of Azerbaijan continues to implement projects to improve the drinking water supply and sewage services in Baku city and surrounding settlements. According to the Action Plan, new drinking and waste water networks are being created in the 3rd residential area known as the landslide zone of Badamdar settlement, Sabail district of Baku city.

The project is implemented within the framework of measures to eliminate the risk of landslides in this area. Centralized drinking water and sewerage network did not exist in most parts of the settlement.

During the laying of new water lines, some of the old and primitive lines may be damaged or out of order. At this time, emergency teams take necessary measures and water supply is restored in a short time.

In general, within the framework of the project, it is planned to create 2 water reservoirs with a capacity of 1000 cubic meters each, 69 km of drinking water and 68 km of waste water network in the 3rd residential area.

It should be noted that the drinking water supply and sewage systems of the 1st and 2nd residential areas of Badamdar settlement were rebuilt within the framework of the project implemented jointly with the Government of Azerbaijan and the Saudi Development Fund. Within the framework of the project, 45 km of drinking water and 28 km of waste water networks were built.
