The drinking water supply of the 2nd residential area of Lokbatan settlement and the "Gobu Park" residential complex built for IDP has been improved

Azerbaijan State Water Resources Agency continues measures to improve drinking water supply to the population. The drinking water supply of Baku city, Garadagh district Lokbatan settlement No. 2 residential complex and "Gobu Park" residential complex built for internally displaced persons has been improved due to network adjustment works and installation of new pumping devices.

Pumping station No. 1, located in Lokbatan settlement, previously supplied drinking water to the settlement area, as well as 2 central reservoirs with a capacity of 5,000 cubic meters and 2,000 cubic meters. After the "Gobu Park" residential complex was built, the water supply of the complex was carried out at the expense of this station. The expansion of the complex, as well as the increase in population in Lokbatan settlement 2nd residential area, increased the demand for water. Since the transmission capacity of the pumping station is not able to meet the increased demand, an additional unit was installed to supply the "Gobu Park" residential complex. With this, the problems arising in the water supply of the "Gobu Park" residential complex have been eliminated. At the same time, after the installation of the new unit, the water supply to the 2nd residential area was strengthened with the existing pumps.

Currently, work to eliminate the problem of water supply in Lokbatan settlement is being carried out on Rafael Salmanov and 4th street of 6th massif. For this purpose, the water supply of the network will be improved by providing an additional connection of 350 meters long with 110 mm diameter pipes from the pressure transmission main passing through the area.
