The presentation of the Roadmap on "Connection to public utilities (water supply network)"

The Roadmap for 2022-2023 was presented at the Economic Reforms Analysis and Communication Center for the implementation of improvements related to the "Connection to public utilities (water supply network)" indicator of the World Bank Group's "Favorable Business Environment" project.

Head of the "Connection to water supply networks" working group of the Commission for Business Environment and International Ratings, Deputy Chairman of "Azersu" OJSC Etibar Mammadov said that joint work was carried out with the participation of specialists of state organizations and representatives of consulting companies in the preparation of the document. The Roadmap prepared by the consulting company based on the improved Diagnostic Matrix was approved by the Commission for Business Environment and International Ratings.

     

Actions on 4 sub-indicators in the directions of the quality of utility service rules, utility service indicators and transparency of services, efficiency of implementation of services in the utility sector, awareness and promotion activities were reflected in the Roadmap. The document defines the main goals, quality standards, rights and obligations for connecting to water supply systems, full digitalization of application processing, minimizing procedures and time, transparency and protection of consumer rights. The innovations to be implemented will make it much easier for business structures to connect to water supply networks, saving time and money.

Samir Ganili, Head of the electronic management and modern technologies department of "Azersu" OJSC, made a presentation on the measures planned by "Azersu" OJSC in the field of digitalization and optimization in the Roadmap. It was noted that the new document will fully ensure the digitalization of state services for connecting to public utilities and the possibility of online application.

     

Vusal Rustamov, Director of the Center for Service to Citizens and Social Innovations, informed about the organization of services provided to citizens in the Roadmap and the measures planned in this area. It was noted that these works will enable proper and efficient organization of connection to the water supply network.

Chairman of the Board of the German-Azerbaijani Foreign Trade Chamber, Farid Isayev, noted the importance of the Roadmap as a state-business dialogue platform and talked about the favorable effects of joining the water supply system on the business environment.

Chairman of the Public Council under "Azersu" OJSC Rauf Zeyni and member of the council Eyyub Huseynov noted that the measures envisaged in the Roadmap are important in terms of supporting the activities of business structures and pointed out that they will support public enlightenment in this field.

Then the participants of the meeting discussed the implementation of measures planned for 2022, goals and priorities for 2023 according to the new Roadmap.
