Meeting held with representatives of the Baku office of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency

  A meeting with the administration of the Baku office of the Turkish International Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) was held at “Azersu” OJSC.

  Welcoming the guests, Etibar Mammadov, Deputy Chairman of “Azersu” OJSC, expressed satisfaction with the constant development of relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey in all areas, including the water supply sector. Delivering information about the measures taken in the country in the field of drinking water supply and wastewater, the Deputy Chairman spoke about the achievements in cooperation with international financial institutions and stressed the close participation of Turkish companies in projects in this area. The activities of TIKA in the water sector in a number of countries were praised and the prospects for cooperation on priority projects in Azerbaijan were noted.

  Fatih Yilmaz, head of the Baku office of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency, drew to attention that his organization operates in the water sector in a number of countries, noting that there are great prospects for cooperation with our country in this field.

  The importance of drinking water supply to villages and settlements, wastewater treatment and disposal, training and exchange programs were discussed within the meeting and technical support issues were discussed.
