Projects to improve the supply of drinking water and sanitation services to the population of Baku are in progress. As part of the road infrastructure reconstruction project on Ibrahimpasha Dadashov Street in the Narimanov district of the capital, “Azersu” OJSC has renewed drinking and waste water lines passing through the area.

While inspecting the existing drinking water and sewerage systems on Ibrahimpasha Dadashov Street in Narimanov district, it was found out that these lines had been in operation for many years and occurred accidents. This, in turn, complicates the operation, disrupts the supply of drinking water to the population and leads to damage to the asphalt pavement. Taking a chance of the road reconstruction, it was decided to replace the communication lines passing through the street and a project was prepared. According to the project, 550 meters of drinking water lines with 225 mm diameter pipes and 360 meters of waste water lines with 300-400 mm diameter pipes were built.

Outlets to the surrounding streets and individual houses was provided from the newly laid  transmission main and collector. Renovation of expired drinking and waste water lines in the area where the road infrastructure is being reconstructed will prevent future accidents.

It should be noted that, “Azersu” OJSC and Azerbaijan State Agency of Roads act in coordination to complete the work operatively and in a short time. This is to keep the street closed for a shorter period of time and to complete the work as soon as possible.
