   The number of subscribers of “Azersu” OJSC increased by 4.6 percent in 2021. As of January 1, 2022, 1,682,000 subscribers across the country were registered as users of drinking water supply and wastewater disposal services. 1 million 617 thousand or 96.1% of subscribers are population, 65 thousand or 3.9% are non-population group subscribers. During the reporting period, the number of population subscribers increased by 4.6 percent, non-population subscribers by 4.9 percent.

The increase in the number of subscribers during the year was mainly due to the connection of consumers to the centralized drinking and waste water networks, the registration of owners of newly built individual houses as subscribers, as well as the detection of illegal use of drinking water and sewerage services. .

As of January 1, 2022, 87.7% of “Azersu” OJSC subscribers were provided with meters. At present, the level of metering for population-group subscribers is 87.4 percent, and for non-population- group customers - 95.6 percent.
