A press conference on the second Caspian International Aqua Technologies Exhibition and Conference (CATEC 2014) was held

   On April 10-12 a press conference on the 2nd Caspian International Aqua Technologies Exhibition and Conference (CATEC 2014) was held in Baku at press-center of Trend News Agency. The organizer of the exhibition, director of Iteca Caspian Bahruz Hidayetzade said that water technologies exhibition held for the second time is of great interest.

   Deputy Director of the Sukanal Scientific Research and Design Institute Adishirin Alekberov noted that update water and sewerage systems of Azerbaijan, large projects to build facilities for treatment of drinking water and sewage underscore the urgency of the exhibition and conference on water technologies in Azerbaijan. Recent advances of the industry, innovative ideas and technologies that demonstrates exhibition, and then introduced into the industry, and contributes to its modernization.

    Water supply, waste and storm water treatment systems, technologies on the construction of microtunnel, water analysis measuring and regulating technologies, pipes, pumping systems, hydrants, construction technology and equipment, geothermal technologies, most advanced technologies applied in water supply and sewage system will be presented at CATEC 2014.

     The exhibition will be attended by 2014 CATEC 79 companies from 24 countries. Azerbaijan, Turkey, Germany, Austria, Denmark, Italy, Canada, US, Switzerland, Lithuania, France, Israel, Belarus, Hungary and other countries will participate at the exhibition.  The local exhibitors include “Azersu” OJSC, “Akkord”, Azertechnoline, Omicron, Sumgait Technology Park, etc.

      Leading technological companies, environmentalists and construction companies across world include Amiad Water Systems (Israel), AVK (Denmark), Culligan (USA), Elektromed (Turkey), Erkon (Turkey), Flotenk (Russia), GEA Westfalia (Germany), Greenworks (Lithuania), Grundfos (Denmark), Krohne Anlagen (Germany), KWI International (Austria), Nirosoft (Israel), Sampro Canada (Canada), Sulzer (Switzerland) , Turan Makina (Turkey), Valvotubi Ind (Italy), Kommunalnik (Belarus) and others.

   In parallel with the exhibition, on April 11, the 2nd Caspian International Conference Water Technologies will be held “JW Marriott Absheron Baku” hotel. During the conference the following issues will be discussed:

-      Integrated water resources usage. Ecological-economical assessment

-      International Water Resources Association (İWRA) Special Session "Water supply and quality: Restrictions and possibilities in human improvement”

-      Innovative Technologies for drinking Water Treatment Water supply, efficient management methods of  waste and rain water network, GIS Technologies

-      A Green Planet. Wastewater Treatment and Recycling

   Over 400 delegates have registered for the Conference, including government body officials, figures from industry and municipal services, national experts, managers and ecologists from major industrial firms, suppliers of eco-technology and eco-services, and representatives from scientific, research and design institutes of the sector, associations and NGOs.
