New drinking water and sewerage infrastructures will be constructed in Gadabey city

   “Azersu” OJSC has launched new international project on reconstruction of drinking water supply and sanitation systems in the regions. In the frame of “National Water Supply and Sanitation Project in 6 regions” project funded by the Government of Azerbaijan and Islamic Development Bank (IDB) bidding was declared on reconstruction of drinking water and sewerage infrastructures in Gadabey. Note that “National Water Supply and Sanitation Project in 6 regions” project also includes reconstruction of drinking water supply and sanitation systems in Astara, Dashkesen, Gazakh, Samukh and Terter.

   Reconstruction of drinking water supply and sanitation in Gadabey city project covers city center, as well as 5 villages. After implementation of the project drinking water supply and sanitation systems of 23 thousand people will be improved.  In accordance with the project Sudbulag springs have been selected as water source. Water intake facility will be constructed in source of water in order to collect spring water and transmission main of 15km will be laid to Gadabey city.  7 Nos water reservoirs with total capacity of 5500 m3 will be built. At the same time distributional lines of 73km will be laid and 2560 house connections will be carried out. Every customer will be provided with water meter.

   Under the project sewerage system will be constructed in Gadabey for the first time. With this purpose sewerage lines of 68km will be laid and every house will be connected to the network. For transmission of wastewater to wastewater treatment plant a sewerage collector of 700m will be built.

   The work will be launched in the third quarter of 2014.
