An agreement was signed on “Pirshagi Wastewater Treatment Plant”

   On March 11 an agreement under financing “Pirshagi Wastewater Treatment Plant” project was signed between the Government of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Republic of Korea . The agreement was signed by the minister of finance of Azerbaijan Republic Samir Sharifov and ambassador of Korea to Azerbaijan Choi Suk-inn.

  At the signing ceremony it was highlighted that bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and the Republic of Korea covers various areas and cooperation in economy, culture, petro-chemistry, energy, transport, tourism and other spheres is quite effective and fruitful.

 According to the agreement Economic Development Cooperation Fund of Export-Import Bank of Korea will allocate a loan in amount of USD 43, 5 million. The rest of the project will be financed by the government of Azerbaijan. In accordance with the project a biological wastewater treatment plant with capacity of 40 thousand/day will be constructed near Pirshagi settlement. In the future the wastewater of Pirshagi, Kurdakhani, Mehemmedi, Nardaran, Digah, Mahstaga and other places will be treated in this plant.  

   Note that in the near future a loan agreement envisaging financing of “Pirshagi Wastewater Treatment Plant” project will be signed.
