Training sessions on Transition to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) are successfully continued

   Work on Transition to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is continued at “Azersu” OJSC. Application of international standards ensures the transparency in financial and economic status of the company, as well as reliable data transmission to international organizations and financial institutions, state organizations and society.

  Application of international financial standards requires staff with theoretical and practical experience. In this regard increasing the experience of the specialists is in the focus and trainings and seminars are organized by “Azersu” OJSC.

   The trainings are held on qualifying exam preparation programs of Association of International Accounting (AIA), and Institution of Certified Financial Managers (ICFM), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Auditing and Financial Management, ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), The Diploma in International Financial Reporting (DipIFR).

   Between 2012 and 2013 “Azersu” OJSC’s 239 employees have been involved in the trainings. The specialists who successfully completed the trainings were awarded 103 diplomas and certificates.

   Presently such trainings are organized in the regions and the employees of district offices and institutions of “Azersu” OJSC are involved in these trainings. So far 79 employees have been involved and 20 of them successfully completed the trainings.

   Note that “Azersu” OJSC was awarded the first place by Institute of Certified Financial Managers (ICFM) for carrying out transition to International Finance Reporting Standards successfully and taking active part in staff trainings in 2012.
