A conference dedicated to the results of 2013 was held in “Azersu” OJSC

   On February 12 a conference dedicated to the results of 2013 inwater supply and sewerage secotrs and to the tasks ahead that will be realized in 2014 was held in “Azersu” OJSC.  

   Opening the conference chairman of “Azersu” OJSC Gorkhmaz Huseynov spoke about President Ilham Aliyev’s successes on the domestic and foreign policy. He noted that as result of this successful policy the economy has increased, new infrastructure projects were carried out, the social welfare has improved in 2013. Last year major projects were carried out in water supply and sewerage sectors. Touching the works done in water supply and sewerage sectors the chairman of “Azersu” OJSC Gorkhmaz Huseynov said that the water supply and sewerage sectors has entered a new development period as a result of President Ilham Aliyev’s attention and care to this field: “Water supply and sewerage systems of all the centers of cities and districts, as well as suburban villages and settlements are reconstructed under the state programs. The works in centers of 24 cities and districts, as well as 300 villages and settlements are carried out. The most memorable events of 2013 for “Azersu” OJSC were opening ceremonies to supply 9 towns’ centers, as well as opening of administrative building of Central Laboratory with the participation of President Ilham Aliyev. The inauguration of Shirvan-Mugan Group Water pipeline and Kulullu-Zardab transmission main went down in history as the most important events of the year.”

   In 2013 construction of Novkhani-Sumgayit sewerage collector has been completed, Dernegul-Balakhani-Garachuxur, Khirdalan-Khajasan, Pirshagi, and Bayil-Bibiheybet sewerage collectors have been launched to be constructed. 

   Totally water lines of 2061 km, sewerage lines of 534 km were laid, 20 reservoirs, 19 pumping stations were constructed, 15 artesian and subartesian wells were drilled. Reconstruction works carried out in about 900 multi-storey buildings, 191 thousand pre-paid smart-card water meters installed.

   As result of works done 191 thousand people have been supplied with drinking water in a centralized manner. Generally 78% in Baku, 55% in the regions have been supplied with drinking water on “24 hours a day” basis.

   Then deputy chairman for operation Kocharli Hasanov, deputy chairman for construction Seymur Seyidov, and other submitted their reports and gave information about the works and events realized in 2013.

  Summing up the meeting chairman of “Azersu” OJSC gave tasks on the works will be done in 2014.
