Distributional lines in multi-storey dwelling houses under reconstruction

   “Azersu” OJSC continues to carry out large scale work under reconstruction of water supply systems in multi-storey dwelling houses in order to supply consumers with drinking water on a continuing basis, prevent water losses, ensure the hydraulic regime, and price accounting.  The pilot projects carried out in 2012 on reconstruction of water supply systems of multi-storey dwelling houses in Surakhani and Binegedi districts completed with good results. Thus such reconstruction projects have been implemented in multi-storey dwelling houses in other districts of Baku, as well as in some parts of Sumgayit and Xirdalan cities.

   In 2013 distributional water lines of 919 multi-storey dwelling houses in Baku and Absheron peninsula have began to be reconstructed. In accordance with the project iron water pipes in these buildings have been replaced with polyethylene ones. Unfit distributional lines in the basements of the buildings were cancelled and laid through the ladder cages. With the purpose of improving distributional water supply systems in the building water lines with total length of 105km has been laid. According to the projects every customer has been provided with pre-paid smart-card water meter and so far 70 thousand such meters have been installed.

   As result of work done drinking water supply of more than 280 thousand residents improved. At the same time fire hydrants were installed in front of the buildings.
