Arabgadim, Goydere, Jemjemli villages of Gobustan, as well as Kurd Eldarbeyli village of Ismayilli have been supplied with drinking water from new source

    “Azersu” OJSC carries out major projects in town/rayon centers and surrounding villages in order to improve water supply of consumers following “State Program on Socioeconomic Development in the Regions of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2009-2013”. In accordance with the Urgent Plan of the Stock Company drinking water projects are carried out in the villages suffering from shortage of drinking water. In the frame of program drinking water projects in Arabgadim, Goydere, Jemjemli villages of Gobustan, as well as Kurd Eldarbayli village of Ismayilli were successfully completed and opening ceremonies to supply drinking water to the villages were held.

   The director of “United Sukanal” Etibar Memmedov stated that water supply and sewerage infrastructures in the regions are reconstructed under “State Program on Socioeconomic Development of the regions of Republic of Azerbaijan for 2009-2013”: “Large-scale works are carried out in the regions in accordance with the instruction of President Ilham Aliyev. Presently, water supply projects are carried out in 24 town/rayon centers, as well as in more than 300 villages and settlements. Today new water supply systems in 4 villages of 2 districts have been put into operation. Thus 4 thousand people in these villages were supplied with drinking water.”

   The head of Executive power of Gobustan region Adil Memmedov and the head of Executive power of Ismayilli Mirdamed Sadigov stated that the projects carried out in 4 villages play very important roles in the social and economic development of the districts.

   Note that “Construction project of drinking water systems in Arabgadim, Goydere, and Jemjemli villages” is calculated for improvement of drinking water supply of totally 3379 people including 1522 people in Arabgadim, 548 people in Goydere, and 1309 people in Jemjemli villages.

   These villages are supplied with drinking water from subartesian wells located near Tasi village. In accordance with the new project a transmission main of 10200m was laid from the source to Arabgadim village using steel pipes. Jemjemli village also is supplied with drinking water by Dasharasi reservoir. With this purpose a transmission main of 1000mm, and distributional lines of 900m were laid.

   Drinking water supply of 531 people of Kurd Eldarbeyli village in Ismayilli district was improved under the project. Here 1 new subartesian well was drilled, and 2 Nos reservoirs were constructed. A transmission main of 2096m was laid from the source to the village. About 1000 house connections were carried out.
