Hil village of Gusar district has been supplied with drinking water from new source

   “Azersu” OJSC carries out major projects in rayon centers and surrounding villages in order to improve water supply of consumers following “State Program on Socioeconomic Development in the Regions of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2009-2013”. One of such projects was carried out in Hil village of Gusar district. On October 2 a ceremony to supply drinking water to Hil village was held.

   Taking part at the ceremony the head of Executive power of Gusar region Shair Alkhasov stated that Hil village was always suffered from shortage of drinking water. He also noted that this project implemented by “Azersu” OJSC is a great achievement. Alkhasov said that presently new projects are carried out in Gusar with the purpose of improving drinking water supply systems of Gusar city and surrounding areas.

   The director of “United Sukanal” Etibar Memmedov stated that new water supply and sewerage infrastructures are constructed in the regions under “State Program on Socioeconomic Development of the regions of Republic of Azerbaijan for 2009-2013”: “Urgent measures are carried out in the villages suffering from shortage of drinking water in accordance with the instruction of President Ilham Aliyev. New infrastructure projects are continued in the region.  These projects will be completed very soon. Presently a part of the village is supplied with drinking water by the existing network. In the future distributional lines will be laid and each house will be connected to the network. Water supply systems in Gusar and 7 surrounding villages are reconstructed under the project funded by the Government of Azerbaijan and JICA and these projects will be completed in the next year.”

   “Reconstruction project of water supply systems in Hil village of Gusar” is estimated to improve drinking water supply of 5406 people. A new water source was chosen and drainage water intake plant of 85m long was constructed with the purpose of supplying the village with drinking water on “24 hours a day” basis. The existing drainage plant was renovated. A transmission main of 11250m was laid from the source using polyethylene pipes and connected to the existing distributional network.
