Drinking water supply systems in Khidirli village of Salyan is improved

    “Azersu” OJSC carries out major projects in rayon centers and surrounding villages in order to improve water supply of consumers following “State Program on Socioeconomic Development in the Regions of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2009-2013”. One of such projects was carried out in Khidirli village of Salyan district and on October 1 a ceremony to supply drinking water to the village was held.

   Participating at the ceremony head of Executive power of Salyan regionTahir Kerimov stated that Khidirli village was always suffered from shortage of drinking water and as a result of new project implemented by “Azersu” OJSC this problem has been solved.

  The director of “United Sukanal” Etibar Memmedov stated that water supply and sewerage infrastructures in the regions are reconstructed under “State Program on Socioeconomic Development of the regions of Republic of Azerbaijan for 2009-2013”: “Urgent measures are carried out in the villages suffering from shortage of drinking water in accordance with the instruction of President Ilham Aliyev. For the first time water supply systems in a centralized manner are created in some villages. In accordance with the project a transmission main and distributional lines were laid in Khidirli village. Water projects launched in 2013 are continued in Masalli, Yardimli, Lerik, Gusar, Ismayilli, Gobustan, Balaken, Zagatala, Gedebey, and other villages. Some of these projects were completed.”

  Then resident Imran Feyzullayez said that the village was suffering from shortage of drinking water for many years. Now this problem has been solved and they thank to the head of state and “Azersu” OJSC.

   Note that “Reconstruction project of water supply systems in Khidirli” is estimated to improve drinking water supply of 3312 people. In accordance with the project the village is supplied with drinking water by Kura-Baku water pipeline. With this purpose a new transmission main of 15,7km was laid and connected to the network. New pumping station was constructed. 2Nos reservoirs with the capacity of 300m3 each will be reconstructed and then each house will be connected to the network.
