Competition on “Great leader Heydar Aliyev’s role in development of water sector” was finished
Competition on “Great leader Heydar Aliyev’s role in development of water sector” dedidcated to 90th anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev was finished. On May 7 an awarding ceremony was held in “Azersu” OJSC.
Opening the event Anar Jabrayilli, head of Public Relations Department stated that the journalists actively participated in the competition on “Great leader Heydar Aliyev’s role in development of water sector” declared among the journalists under Action Plan dedicated to the 90th anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev.
Deputy Chairman of “Azersu” OJSC for Economic Affairs Mahir Memmedov talked on National Leader Heydar Aliyev`s services in development, freedom of speech, strengthening of material-technical base of media and noted that Great Leader was always sensitive to problems of the media: “The abolition of censorship in the media, VAT exemptions of newspapers, providing them with soft loans is connected with Great Leader Heydar Aliyev. In our country special attention is paid and care is taken to freedom of speech and media.”
Member of the jury Vugar Rahimzadeh said that the articles of the journalists were prepared professionally. He also thanked to “Azersu” for close cooperation with media.
At last the results of the competition were declared and the winners were awarded.

The first place – Mirbagir Guliyev (“Khalg gezeti” newspaper) – AZN 1000
The second place - Zulfiyye Guluyeva (“Movge” newspaper) – AZN 800
The third place – Nadir Ismayilov (“Yeni Azerbaijan” newspaper) and Orkhan Israfilov (“Iki Sahil” newspaper) –AZN 600
