Mini-football tournament dedicated to the memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev finished
Mini-football tournament dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev finished. On May 6 the winners of the tournament were awarded in “Azersu” OJSC.
Participating at the ceremony deputy chairman of “Azersu” OJSC Mahir Memmedov talked on the role of the National Leader in the development of independent Azerbaijan and his care to improvement of the physical culture and sport: “National Leader Heydar Aliyev was always sensitive to physical and mental health of the population and development of sport. Government support for sport has increased as result of policies of the Honorable President Ilham Aliyev, the worthy successor of Heydar Aliyev's political course has increased even more, the material-technical base of sport was strengthened. As a result of successful sport policy Azerbaijan is recognized as a significant partner by sport society and athletes are considered as main rival in the world.”
Araz Asgerov, head Social Development Division of “Azersu” OJSC informed on the result of the tournament and said that the tournament involved 160 people - 15 teams from departments and organizations of “Azersu” OJSC. The winning team became Nizami Sukanal Department. Nesimi Sukanal Department was awarded with the second place and Sabunchu Sukanal Department with the third place.
At the end of the distinguished athletes were awarded by honor and prizes.
