Water supply systems of 7 villages of Oguz district improved

     “Azersu” OJSC pays special attention to improvement of drinking water supply in Baku, urban and centers of districts, as well as in the villages and settlements. In accordance with Urgent Action Plan approved by “Azersu” OJSC works on improvement of drinking water supply are carried out in villages and settlements suffering from water shortage. Under the Action Plan improvement projects of drinking water supply systems in 7 villages of Oguz district (Khachmaz, Boyuk Soyudlu, Kerimli, Bayan, Bujag, Mukhas and Bash Dashagil) completed and new infrastructure put into operation on the eve of Novruz Holiday. On March 11 inauguration ceremonies was held in Boyuk Soyudlu, Kerimli, Bayan, Bujag, Mukhal and Bash Dashagil villages, on March 12 the ceremony was held in Khachmaz village.

     The director of “United Sukanal” Etibar Memmedov stated that water supply and sewerage infrastructures in the regions are reconstructed and reconstruction works are carried out in urban and the centers of the district, as well as in the villages and settlements under “State Program on Socioeconomic Development of the regions of Republic of Azerbaijan for 2009-2013”: “Large-scale works are carried out in regions in accordance with instruction given by President Ilham Aliyev. Presently, water supply projects are carried out in 24 urban and centers of districts, as well as in more than 300 villages and settlements. New projects will be launched in over 10 towns in 2013. More over 17000 people in 7 villages of Oguz district will be supplied with drinking water.”

     The head of Oguz region Executive power Eyvaz Gurbanov highly evaluated the projects implemented by “Azersu” OJSC and  noted that reconstruction of water supply and sewerage infrastructures of the district will be played great role in socioeconomic life of the district.

    At the ceremony the residents expressed their thankfulness to “Azersu” OJSC.

    Note that under the project launched in 2012 water intake facilities, 11Nos reservoirs with total capacity of 4600m3 were constructed, transmission main of 80km was laid for supplying the population of 7 villages on a continuing basis with drinking water. House connections were carried out and 3425 water meters were installed.

    As a result of implementation of the project water supply systems of  7140 people in Khachmaz village, 1140 people in Soyudlu village, 3240 people in Kerimli village, 1480 people in Bujag, 1415 people in Mukhas and 1265 people in Bash Dashagil village of Oguz district were substantially improved.

    Recall that such projects were carried out in the villages of Agdam, Terter, Fuzuli, Agjabadi, Zagatala, Balaken, Salyan, Khizi, Shabran, Siyezen, Lerik, Yardimli and Gedebey suffering from water. As a result of these works water supply systems of  32 thousand people were substantially improved.
