Water supply and sewerage systems of Lankaran under reconstruction

    “Azersu” OJSC carries out Action Plan for improvement of water supply and sewerage systems in Baku as well as in the regions. Large-scale works on reconstruction of water supply and sewerage systems in the regions are being carried out following “State Program on social – economical development of the regions of Azerbaijan Republic in 209-2013 years”. Under the project financed by the Government of Azerbaijan water supply and sewerage systems of Lankaran are reconstructed.

    “Reconstruction project of water supply and sewerage systems in Lankaran” covers Lankaran city, as well as 12 villages and settlements. In accordance with the project the city will be supplied with the drinking water from Khanbulanchay reservoir. Ultra filtration water treatment plant with the capacity of 30 thousand m3 will be constructed on the base of new technology for supplying the consumers with high quality drinking water. A reservoir with the capacity of 15 thousand m3 each will be built for supplying the city with water. Presently preparations are carried out for constructing the reservoir and water treatment plant. A transmission main of 16,5km (DN=710mm) was laid from the water source to the city.

   Under the project 25km of the distributional network of 200km was laid. 20km of sewerage systems of totally 180km was laid. In the future wastewater of Lankaran city will be transported to the wastewater treatment plant with the capacity of 25 thousand m3 that will be built. 8Nos sewerage-pumping station will be constructed.

   Note that water supply and sewerage systems of 75 thousand people will be improved after Implementation of the project.
