The opening ceremony of Baku Water Week took place

On March 12-14, Baku Water Week will be organized for the first time at the Baku Expo Center.

In 2024, Baku hosts another international event of great importance for our country and the region as a whole, to develop the water industry in Azerbaijan, discuss existing challenges and solutions, adapt to modern challenges and technology requirements against the background of global climate changes, and make new opportunities available to interested parties.

Zaur Mikayilov, Chairman of the Azerbaijan State Water Resources Agency, emphasized in his opening speech that the organization of such an event in our country is commendable. "The event will provide an opportunity for experts, government organizations and the business sector to share knowledge and experience, explore new ideas and find innovative ways to solve water-related problems. Holding an international event in the field of water management in Azerbaijan will create a foundation for the introduction of new technologies in this sector, and will also be remembered for the further expansion of cooperation between local and foreign companies. In this direction, holding of an important event like COP29 in our country is a clear indicator of the international community's appreciation of the important environmental measures implemented by Azerbaijan," it was stated in the opening speech.
