The number of subscribers of “Azersu” OJSC increased by 4,7 percent in the last year

The number of subscribers of the Azerbaijan State Water Resources Agency “Azersu” OJSC increased by 81.6 thousand or 4,7 percent in the last year. 1,813531 subscribers was registered as users of drinking and waste water services across the country in October, 2023. 1,741,155 or 96 percent of them are population, and 72,376 or 4 percent are non-population group subscribers. During the reporting period, the number of population group subscribers increased by 77 thousand or 4.6 percent, and the number of non-population group subscribers increased by 4.5 thousand or 6.7 percent.

The increase in the number of subscribers during the year was mainly due to the connection of consumers to the centralized drinking and waste water networks, the registration of owners of newly built individual houses as subscribers, as well as the detection of illegal use of drinking water and sewerage services.

As of October 1, 2023, 89,5% of “Azersu” OJSC subscribers were provided with meters. At present, the level of metering for population-group subscribers is 89.3 percent, and for non-population- group customers – 96,5 percent.
