Preparations for the autumn-winter season starts

Complex measures are implemented to prevent complications that may arise in rain-sewerage networks in autumn-winter season. The state of operation of waste water systems is inspected by the State Water Resources Agency of Azerbaijan, inspection wells, collectors and lines are cleaned of solid household waste.

In accordance with the approved Action Plan, inspection wells, sewage collectors and lines, as well as solids collected in rain grates in areas with high risks of flooding as a result of inspection and evaluation work carried out in Sabail, Yasamal, Nasimi, Narimanov, Sabunchu and Binagadi districts of Baku, as well as in Sumgait and Khirdalan cities wastes are cleaned and their full transmissibility is ensured.

Collected solid waste is removed using special equipment. With the help of special equipment, high pressure water is injected into the collectors, sediments are cleaned and removed by means of a suction device.

In accordance with the Plan of Actions, the operating condition of the sewage pumping stations is checked once again, repairs are carried out on the necessary pumps and other hydro technical devices. In addition, the water level in the lakes of Boyukshor, Khojasen, Gu, Tashagyl, Masazır, Gotur, and Bulbula on the Absheron peninsula was assessed, and the operating mode of the pumping stations serving those lakes was ensured accordingly.
