Cases of illegal drinking water supply have been prevented in Binagadi district

The State Water Resources Agency of Azerbaijan continues comprehensive measures to detect illegal drinking water lines, minimize water losses and prevent wastage, in accordance with the Action Plan for ensuring efficient use of water resources approved by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev. During the inspection of the drinking water supply system of 7 apartment-type buildings owned by the entrepreneur on Zangezur Street, Binagadi district, a case of evasion of accounting for water supply was discovered. Thus, the entrepreneur uses the water line built for the population group subscriber in the construction of buildings for entrepreneurial purposes without obtaining technical conditions. Moreover, those apartments and surrounding private houses were connected to the wastewater network without obtaining technical conditions. During the control measures, it was discovered that water was illegally used in the "Fedak Baghi" fruit and vegetable sales and meat slaughtering station owned by an entrepreneur at the 6th back street of Malikaslanov Street, Bilajari settlement, without obtaining technical conditions and under the contract. Illegal lines and connections were cut and canceled by the accident brigade involved in the area.

It should be noted that in the months of January-June 2023, 8,899 cases of illegal use of water were detected by "Azersu" Open Joint-Stock Company, and 1,785 of them in Binagadi district, and about 100 facts were submitted to law enforcement agencies for investigation.
