Cases of illegal water supply were detected at the butchers' shop and private residences

Cases of unaccounted and off-meter drinking water supply were discovered in Binagadi district, as a result of investigations conducted to prevent water losses and wastage in accordance with the Action Plan on ensuring efficient use of water resources approved by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. It was discovered that the water was stolen in the slaughterhouse operating in the territories 2nd Madan, 78th housing. The entrepreneur got connection to the network on his own without receiving technical conditions. The entrepreneur, who presented himself as a veteran, not only illegally used water, but also ignored the legal requirements of the employees.

Detected illegal lines and connections were canceled and information about the legal connection to the water network was provided. It was stated that the illegal and wasteful drinking water supply leads to the violation of hydraulic regimes in the networks, serious water losses and the deterioration of water supply to other residents living in those areas. To prevent such illegal situations, measures will be continued regularly, arbitrarily drawn and off-meter lines will be canceled.

It should be noted that in January-March 2023, a total of 2,638 cases of illegal use of drinking water were detected and 528 in Binagadi district and more than 50 cases were submitted to law enforcement agencies for investigation.
