June 5 – the "Water Management and Land Reclamation Employees’ Day" is a professional holiday. June 5 was established as the "Water Management and Land Reclamation Employees’ Day" by the decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed on May 14, 2014 and this date is celebrated annually as a professional holiday of water management employees.

On the eve of the “Water Management and Land Reclamation Employees’ Day”, Kocharli Hasanov, Deputy Chairman of “Azersu” OJSC, Zaur Mikayilov, Chairman of Amelioration and Water Management OJSC and the staff of both organizations visited the Alley of Honors to pay tribute to the Great Leader, the founder of our modern state Heydar Aliyev’s memory. They laid a wreath at his grave. The memory of prominent ophthalmologist-scientist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva was also commemorated. Then, they staff visited the Alley of Martyrs to commemorate the heroic sons of our country who gave their lives for the independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.

An exhibition of works by young artists on water was held in Yasamal Park on the occasion of “Water Resources and Land Reclamation Employees' Day”. The exhibition showcases the impact of climate change on water resources, promoting water conservation and water efficiency. Visiting the "+ 82 Garb" reservoir and the exhibition, the management of "Azersu" OJSC, Amelioration and Water Management OJSC wished the young artists success in their creative activities.
