The "Methods of efficient use of water" Project has been launched

  The "Methods of efficient use of water" Project has been launched at “Azersu ”OJSC with the financial support of the Agency for State Support to Non-Governmental Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan and with support of “ Azersu ”OJSC, the Republican Committee of the Trade Union of Water Industry Employees and the PU “Global Cooperation and Analytical Research Center ”.

At the opening ceremony of the project, Parvana Khidirova, a Methodist at Sukanal Scientific Research and Project Institute of “Azersu” OJSC, said that according to the results of a small grant competition of the State Support Agency for Non-Governmental Organizations, the “Methods of water use” ”Project was also selected as the winner.

The aim of the project is to instill the methods of efficient use of water in young people, to contribute to increasing their scientific knowledge about water, to support the activities of volunteers, as well as to draw public attention to this area. For this purpose, students from a number of higher education institutions were involved in the project. The project will provide training for students on sustainable water resources management and efficient use and wastewater treatment.

Vugar Mirzayev, Director of Sukanal Research and Design Institute, Anar Jabrayilli, Head of Public Relations Department of “Azersu” OJSC and Rashail Ismayilov, Executive Director of the PU “Specialists on Water Use” delivered the information about the current water problems in the world and stressed the need for efficient water use.

Then, Abbas Abbaszadeh, Head of Geographic Information Systems Department of “Azersu” OJSC, conducted trainings on “Management of water economy with modern GIS technologies”, Mammad Huseynzadeh, Senior Researcher of “Sukanal” Scientific Research and Design Institute, on “Water supply and wastewater disposal systems”.

Afterwards, a documentary film about water "25 liters" was demonstrated and an extensive exchange of views on the film took place.

Excursions to the Training and Innovation Center of “Azersu” OJSC, Sukanal Scientific Research and Design Institute, Central Laboratory, Jeyranbatan Ultrafiltration Water Treatment Complex will take place within the project.
