Drinking water supply in Gazanbulag settlement of Goranboy region is being improved

In accordance with the State Program for Socio-Economic Development of the Regions approved by President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, “Azersu” OJSC continues to implement projects to improve the supply of drinking water to the population in the regions. A new project is being implemented in Gazanbulag settlement of Goranboy region to further improve drinking water supply.

There was no centralized drinking water supply system in Gazanbulag settlement of Goranboy region. The lines laid in the settlement, which did not comply with the construction norms and did not allow for normal water supply and caused water losses.

A new project has been developed and launched to establish a centralized water supply system in the settlement. A 7 km long centralized drinking water network will be created within the project implemented at the expense of internal resources of “Azersu” OJSC, 196 addresses will be connected and meters will be installed. This will prevent water losses and ensure efficient and economical use of water. Repair and reconstruction work is carried out by the Regional Sukanal Branch No. 7 of “Azersu” OJSC.

Maharram Guliyev, head of the Goranboy District Executive Power, and Khagani Valiyev, head of the Regional Sukanal Branch No. 7 of “Azersu” OJSC, got acquainted with the implementation of the project. Discussions were held on the quality of work and a reasonable and efficient solution to the problem of drinking water in the settlement, relevant instructions and recommendations were given.
