"Azersu" Open Joint Stock Company launches the implementation of a new project in Binagadi settlement to improve the supply of drinking water to the population. The new centralized drinking water network created in the area called 4th Gapi (Gate) of Binagadi settlement will provide sustainable drinking water to up to 700 families.

There were no centralized water supply network in Binagadi settlement called 4th Gapi (Gate). A part of the territory were supplied with water via the lines built individually by the population, and those lines are unfit for operation because they do not meet construction standards. Frequent accidents in individual networks cause disruption of stable hydraulic regimes in the system, serious water losses, as well as create certain risks for water quality. In areas without networks, residents bought drinking water from the vehicles.

Within the framework of the new project, implemented to cancel scattered water lines, minimize water losses and improve water supply to consumers, individual water lines that do not meet operational requirements in the area are canceled and a 7.6 km long potable water network is created with pipes of different diameters. In the area covered by the project, up to 700 private houses and facilities will be connected to the new network, each subscriber will be provided with a meter. The work on the project is expected to be completed by the end of the year. The newly created infrastructure will allow residents to be supplied with sustainable drinking water, accurate accounting will be established and water losses will be prevented.

It should be noted that currently the implementation of projects in Sabunchu, Zabrat, Mardakan and Gala settlements is being continued by "Azersu" OJSC due to state investment. Within the framework of these projects, new centralized drinking water networks are created in those settlements, subscribers are provided with house connections and meters are installed.
