A centralized drinking water network is being built in Yeni Ramana (New Ramana) residential area

In accordance with the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev’s instructions, a centralized drinking water network is being built in settlements near Baku, including in Yeni Ramana (New Ramana) residential area of Sabunchu district within the State investment program of 2022. Until now, there was no centralized network in the area where the project was implemented, and drinking water supply to the residents was carried out through individual networks created by the population. Frequent accidents and violations of hydraulic regimes in the network, which did not meet the construction norms, caused the population to be without water, serious water losses, as well as created risks for water quality. According to the project, a 4 km long drinking water network with pipes of different diameters will be created in Yeni Ramana (New Ramana) residential area. About 500 addresses from the newly created network will be connected and meters will be installed. So far, 2.8 km of the drinking water network has been built and 300 addresses are connected. The creation of new centralized networks will allow the connection of new subscribers to the system, along with the elimination of drinking water supply problems.

Drinking water projects will be implemented in a part of Saray, Binagadi, Zabrat, Ramana, Bilgah, Mashtaga, Buzovna, Shagan, Mardakan, Gala, Shuvelan, Bina settlements in 2022 at the expense of state investment. Construction works have already started in Ramana, Shuvelan and Bilgah settlements. In other settlements, preparations for construction are being continued. It should be noted that in accordance with the State investment program, centralized water supply systems in settlements are being built in stages.
