“Azersu” OJSC is taking necessary measures to increase the level of payment for drinking water and wastewater services and solve the problem of receivables. Although awareness-raising and advocacy efforts have been intensified to attract subscribers, some subscribers are still reluctant to pay for the services they are provided. “Azersu” employees in Aghdam and Fizuli districts faced humiliation and physical pressure while performing their duties.

Subscribers Zaur Guliyev with 340 manat, Zamin Guliyev with 488,45 manat, Ilgar Guliyev with 351 manat, and Gaitaran Guliyev with 415,9 debt live in individual housholds in Guzanli settlement of Aghdam. Although individual conversations were held with these subscribers and the importance of payment was brought to their attention, they did not pay attention to it and did not pay their payables. Etiqad Samedli, an engineer from the Aghdam Sukanal field, was subjected to physical pressure by those subscribers when he last submitted a notice that the water supply would be cut off if the debt was not repaid.

In Horadiz, Fizuli region, Nabi Abbasov, an employee of the local water supply department, was severely insulted by Javid Khalyaddinov while on duty. Horadiz resident J.Khalyaddinov refused to pay the debt of 303 manat and the enlightening conversation with him resulted in an unpleasant ending. Law enforcement agencies have been asked to investigate both facts.

Employees of “Azersu” OJSC who submit notices are performing their official duties and any humiliations and pressures against them are unacceptable, and if such cases occur, “Azersu” OJSC will apply to law enforcement agencies. “Azersu” OJSC once again informs consumers that the level of service provided depends on timely payments.

We would like to inform our subscribers that conditions are created for partial repayment of receivables. To do this, the subscriber must apply to the local water supply department or branch, sign a protocol of agreement and pay the debt in installments in accordance with its commitment.
