“Azersu” OJSC organized a visit of media representatives to the liberated Hadrut settlement of Khojavend region. During the visit, the journalists became familia with the drinking water supply systems of the settlement.

Media representatives were informed that immediately after the liberation of Hadrut settlement and the end of the Patriotic War, as in other liberated settlements, the restoration of infrastructure began in this settlement. In accordance with the President Ilham Aliyev’s instructions, urgent measures were taken to restore the drinking water supply which is of vital importance.

After the 44-day war, specialists of ”Azersu” OJSC were sent to Hadrut to assess the situation with drinking water supply in Hadrut settlement and surrounding settlements. It should be noted that the settlement was previously provided with drinking water from two sources - springs and sub-artesian wells. In the first days after the end of the war, as there was no water from springs, sub-artesian wells were put into operation by generators, and residential buildings and structures were supplied with water. Then, together with the representatives of the Ministry of Defense, security measures were taken, the main water source located 5.5 km north of the settlement was inspected, and the main water pipeline was inspected. The source and main pipeline were repaired and the supply of water was provided to the settlement.

At the same time, water samples were taken from water sources and reservoirs of the settlement and inspected. During the visit to Hadrut settlement, employees of the Central Laboratory of “Azersu” OJSC once again took water samples.

It should be noted that, there are 5 reservoirs in the high points of Hadrut settlement, 4 of them are currently in operation. Water transported from both springs and subartesian wells is collected in these reservoirs and transferred to the city network.

Over the past period, more than 30 accidents have been eliminated in the network of Hadrut settlement. Water lines were inspected in more than 2,000 apartments, and measures were taken to prevent freezing during the winter months.

At present, military and civil buildings in the settlement are provided with uninterrupted drinking water and 55-60 cubic meters of water are supplied to the network per hour.
